Renowned for its character and comfort, the Royal Hotel dates from 1755 and has been brought up to date without losing its original charm.

Located in Hayfield at the Gateway to Kinder in the High Peak, the Royal Hotel is ideally situated for walking trips on Kinder Scout or sightseeing some of the loveliest stately homes in the country. Hayfield is one of the oldest villages in the High Peak and has retained much of its old fashioned charm.

Within the mellow Derbyshire walls of this listed building, lies the perfect balance of traditional charm and comfort with all the modern amenities demanded by today's visitor.

All our well appointed rooms are fully equipped with television, tea and coffee making facilities and radio alarm clock. The spacious rooms are all en-suite, with hairdryers, irons and ironing boards available. Extra beds, cots, towels and shoe cleaning materials are also available.

For celebrating honeymoon couples there is a choice of the Buckingham Room with four poster bed or the Balmoral Room with king-sized bed and jacuzzi spa bath with the compliments of The Royal Hotel

Ample car parking is available in our private car park and is naturally free of charge. .
