Description

Whether you're looking for a relaxing weekend break with maybe a few brisk hill walks around glorious National Trust countryside, an exquisite meal in our fine restaurant, or just a glass of real ale and home cooked food in our traditional pub, the Wellington is where you'll find the comfort you need, served with care and always a smile!

The Wellington has 15 rooms, each with en-suite bath and/or shower and temperature controlled central heating.
Tea and coffee making facilities and a colour television are standard and radios can be provided subject to availability. Family rooms are available together with a Video with children's videos on loan if required.
We also provide direct dial telephones, modem points or Internet access via a wireless network.

Our residents lounge is situated in the commemorative turret at the front of the hotel where, from it's position on the first floor, a fine view across the valley can be enjoyed.
In the winter months (or whenever there's a nip in the air) you willl always be welcomed to the warmth and comfort of a traditional log fire.
A perfect place to take afternoon tea with homemade cakes and scones, or why not spend some time reading or watching a movie?

Much of the garden architecture was destroyed in the flood of 2004 but work has been going on to restore and improve the facilities to provide the perfect setting for those warm summer evenings for alfresco drinking.
We also host the occasional Garden Party with live music, barbecues and even special offers on beers and wines to help make your visit even more pleasurable.

We hope that you will find our restaurant experience something that little bit special ~ so much so that you will want to return time and time again.

The produce….. is all locally sourced. Our meat is from Button Meats of Michealstow who use all locally reared Cornish cattle. The fish is from Bude and when the seas are too rough locally we use fish from the south coast.

Local Attractions

The location is a perfect base for your holiday with easy access to many of Cornwall's attractions, including the Eden Project, the Camel Trail, Padstow and the rest of North Cornwall. The village has all the amenities that you may need including a number of fascinating gift shops. On our doorstep you will find rugged Cornish coastlines surrounding the beautiful Elizabethan harbour of Boscastle with access to the SouthWest Coast Path and many National Trust walks.
