Bed and Breakfast Description

|
We provide clean, simple accommodation suitable for walkers, fell runners, climbers, cyclists or general tourists. You just have to bring your own sleeping bag. Sleeping accommodation is provided in two areas, one for fourteen which is alpine style with pine clad ceiling and a pine floor with bunk beds. The second area has six beds, also in bunks and is an ideal room for a small group or family.
Downstairs there are showers and toilets and a large dining/general room which can be used for working in. The farmhouse has full central heating, and drying facilities are available.
At Moorside Farm all the meals are prepared on the premesis and will be made from fresh and often local produce. If its burger and chips you are looking for I'm afraid you won't find it here!
For our guests we provide three course, full English, or a more continental style breakfast for those who prefer it. A packed lunch is provided for your day’s activities and a substantial evening meal, which can be served at any time that is convenient to your plans. All meals (except lunch) are served in the dinning room which looks out over the surrounding countryside. After a busy day out in the fresh air, there is nothing like a good home cooked meal in front of a roaring open fire!
A small kitchen is available for making tea and coffee which we can provide and we can cater for all special diets including vegetarian, vegan, non-dairy, etc. (Please Let us know any dietary requirements when booking). |

A visit to Moorside Farm, whether on a short break, or longer holiday, will allow you to explore some of England’s most spectacular scenery and in the towns, villages and hamlets - amongst the prettiest in the country - you will find a warm and genuine welcome wherever you go.
The Peak District is the perfect playground for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and adrenalin junkies. If you are looking for active adventure, there’s a huge range to choose from including walking, cycling, climbing, water sports, and paragliding, plus many activity centres where you can have a taster session or activity break.
If you prefer to relax with a round of golf or a spot of fishing, you’ll find plenty of excellent locations to indulge yourself. There’s also a wide choice of arts and craft, wildlife and nature, and other special interest activities on offer.
