Bed and Breakfast Description

Boscastle, a picturesque Village of white washed cottages with stunning Natural harbour and breathtaking scenery. There are a variety of pleasing shops, restaurants and bars.

Myrtle Cottage is situated in the Old Village street, a short walk from the Harbour area and is ideal for those looking for a base to explore from.

Accommodation is on a B & B basis, in comfortable rooms with T.V and hospitality tray.

The restaurant is open all year on selected nights for guests and non-residents. Colleges Curry & Roast Nights are very popular among the locals and visitors alike.

OUT & ABOUT IN BOSCASTLE

There are several pubs, hotels and restaurants in the village and also shops selling food to take away - including Cornish Pasties of course!

Above the village, pleasant easy walks may be had along the valley, through meadows and woodlands alive with flowers, butterflies and birdlife.

The scars of the famous flash-flood of 2004 can still be seen up the valley, but the village has pretty much returned to normal with lively nightlife, especially at weekends!

Below the village is Boscastle's beautiful natural harbour. There is a famous blowhole on one side, and above that paths lead up over the cliffs to stunning views out into the Atlantic.
 

B&B Location
From M5 Junction 31, follow A30 towards Okehampton - then on towards Launceston.

Beyond Launceston bear left onto the A395 signed North Cornwall, Camelford and Wadebridge.

Follow A395 for some miles. 1½ miles after the Wilsey Down Hotel/Pub in Hallworthy you are looking to take the next right toward Boscastle.

After turning right at the end of road turn left onto A39 (Atlantic Highway) then turn almost immediately right towards Boscastle.

If you miss the right hand turn continue onto the end of the road and at the junction with A39 turn right, then take next left and at the end of this road turn left.

Follow road and at the cross roads with the B3266 turn right towards Boscastle.

As you enter the village just passed the speed restriction sign take the first right down the steep street. Myrtle Cottage is situated 200 yards on the right.

Once on Fore Street, Myrtle Cottage is situated 200 yards along, on the right. If you pass a church you have gone too far! Parking is available along the street.

Boscastle is a busy place in peak season. If parking on the street is difficult, you can drop off your things and drive down to lower Boscastle where there is a spacious public car-park.
