The farmhouse dates back to the 18th Century and retains many of its original features such as the original beams and `character` stone walls. It has has recently been upgraded to provide luxurious and spacious rooms.
Our friendly, family run B & B is situated in its own secluded valley with only one other neighbouring property. The valley attracts a variety of wildlife including buzzards, red squirrels, deer, and foxes.
The Lake District National Park can be reached on foot via a maze of footpaths and bridleways from the farmhouse which lead over to the Lowther Park Estate and beyond providing access to Haweswater and Ullswater.
Here at Sheriff Park we can also provide cycle storage allowing you to explore the area on two wheels.
Sheriff Park is within walking distance of the local pub at Great Strickland which provides a variety of real ales and good food.
Sheriff Park Bedrooms are all central heated, have private en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, easy chairs, radio/alarm, hair dryer and countryside views.
As well as our dining room (pictured below), guests are also welcome to use the family lounge where you will find a television, local information, board games and jigsaws.
Unfortunately we are not licensed to provide alcohol but can supply you with glasses and a bottle opener! |
