Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Caroline House is a 19th Century house situated only minutes from a sandy beach and River Tweed. It offers 3 diamond accommodation in the conservation fishing village of Spittal, one mile from the town centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Caroline House offers spacious accommodation in one double room with en-suite facilities and one family three bedded room with private facilities. A single room is available on request. Each room is equipped with tea/coffee making equipment, colour television, video, radio and hairdryers. Single occupancy for the double rooms is also an option. Ironing faclities are available.

En-suite Bedroom
A light airy west facing room overlooking the garden. It has a double bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom with shower. A quiet location with only the sounds of the birds to disturb you.

Twin/Family Bedroom
An east facing room looking across to the Church of St John. This large room has three single beds and use of a shared bathroom with the single room occupant.

An ideal base for exploring Bamburgh, Holy Island, Farne Islands and the Scottish Borders. The coastline of Spittal and the Tweed estuary is designated as an area of outstanding beauty.

Feeling active? Cycle the 'Coast and Castles' route, we are on the National Cycle Route, or take a more leisurely stroll along our splendid coastal walks. Explore the stunning Elizabethan walls of Berwick - dating back to 1558, Berwick walls are the best preserved walled defences in Europe.
