Welcome to Honister House, an 18thC timber beamed AA 4star Bed and Breakfast just off Keswick's award winning market square in the heart of the Northern Lakes. Honister House has many interesting features and even an on-site jewellery shop ("karen-Rose") It is one of the oldest properties in Keswick with a great deal of character.
Under the AA's new national rating system, Honister House has been graded AA 4 Star and given a "Best Breakfast" award.
Honister House is an ideal place for exclusive use by small parties of friends or family to get together for special occasions. We can arrange for cakes, flowers, champagne, etc to be available if required.
We have three double/twin en-suite rooms available all year round, "Catbells", "Blencathra" and "Causey Pike". Each room is tastfully decorated to a very high standard with flat screen TVs/DVDs, and wi-fi access
Full English breakfast and speciality dishes are included in the price and vegetarian and special diets are catered for. We have been given a Best Breakfast Award by the AA and we are recognised in the Vegetarian Society Food and Drink Guild.
There is also a jewellery shop on site ( "Karen-Rose" ) specialising in local hand made jewellery inspired by our magnificent local scenery.
We are perfectly placed for guests to enjoy Keswick's many splendid attractions incuding the lake (Derwentwater), our Theatre-By-The Lake, Parks, Galleries Restaurants and shops.
Keswick is the perfect base to enjoy the Lake District which has the best scenery in England
