Bed and Breakfast Description

 

We are a small, family run B&B providing comfort, hospitality and a real Cumbrian welcome. Tythebarn is located in the rural village of Holme, just off J36 of the M6, south of Kendal.

We have one ground floor room available for rental. It can be made up as either a double (super-king) or twin as required. The room has LCD TV with Freeview, Tea/coffee making facilities and central heating.

A spacious, private bathroom/shower(fluffy towels and bathrobes included). A kitchenette equipped with mini-fridge and microwave plus washing and drying facilties.

Breakfast is served in our upstairs living room. Local produce is used where available. Please note - we are a non-smoking home.

Leave the car at home. Our bikes are available throughout your stay.

From the back of the barn, you are just yards from the Lancaster Canal - a haven for wildlife, with distant view to the Lakeland Fells. Behind, Farleton Knott, a limestone outcrop offers an easy walk with the reward of a 360 degree panorama.

 

J36 : M6 Attractions

 
In addition to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, you also have the delights of Morecambe Bay, Arnside, Silverdale and the historic city of Lancaster. Why not leave the car at home. We offer free use of two bikes, and will collect visitors from Oxenholme or Carnforth rail station (no charge)

We are very accessible by train and will pick you up, free of charge, from Oxenholme station.

If you do come by car, we are just 3 miles from J36 of the M6.
