Guests have loved this old house, and return time and again to enjoy its sense of comfort, character, light, and space. "Low Fell" is beautifully decorated and maintained, yet still manages to retain the type of relaxed, friendly and very welcoming atmosphere that emanates naturally from a home - but not necessarily from a "guest house".
The house: Lovely turn of the century Lakeland stone house - completely private and set in an acre of sunny secluded garden, Low Fell nestles behind a high stone wall and is surrounded by gloriously mature trees and shrubs.
The location: Ideally located just a stones throw (well, OK, a five minute stroll) from the shores of Lake Windermere - one of the most beautiful and most interesting of all the lakes in Europe - and from the village of Bowness on Windermere and the fells behind the house.
Parking: Ample and safe parking for up to 6 cars in our concealed private drive.
Breakfast: Delicious breakfasts with lots of choice from traditional English to aga pancakes with lashings of maple syrup - and warm home made bread.
We can accommodate a total of 6 people in 3 bedrooms, although two of the bedrooms are adjoining and make a perfect hideaway on the second floor of the house.
All have en suite bathroom facilities, colour TV, DVD player, wireless broadband internet access, alarm clock, hairdryer, hot water bottles, towelling dressing gowns, and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.
Our 6ft beds are new, of excellent quality, and are wonderfully comfortable. All have fat feather pillows, white Egyptian cotton percale sheets, either a duvet or blankets, and both a cotton waffle bedspread and quilted throw. We give you lots of layers so that you can be as warm, or as cool as you wish. Do ask if you prefer synthetic pillows. |
