Based in the heart of the English Lake District, in the surroundings of this beautiful National Park, this small family run bed & breakfast under new ownership offers comfortable accommodation just minutes away from the shores of Lake Windermere.

Situated in Bowness on Windermere, Claremont offers you the perfect base for exploring and enjoying this idyllic area; whether you just want a relaxing holiday, or wish to explore the mountainous terrain of the Lake District (Biskey Howe view point is only two minutes away!), you will always find a warm welcome at the Claremont!

Guest rooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and include:
En-suite facilities
Colour Television/DVD
Tea & Coffee making facilities
Central heating

Self Catering Apartment with fully equipped kitchen/dinning area and own private entrance.

As well as all this, each morning you can enjoy a hearty full English breakfast cooked to order and using produce from our local award winning butcher this can also be provided for those using the Self Catering Apartment but is not included in the price.

 

Windermere Attractions

 
With an abundance of activities right on your doorstep, Claremont is set in the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Dozens of activities lie just minutes away; beautiful scenery and walks, a relaxing boat ride on one of the lakes steamers, mini golf, cinemas and, of course, fine restaurants and bars. There is something for everyone here including the amazing Beatrix Potter exhibition which will keep adults and children amused for hours.

From the South
From M6 heading north exit at junction 36, take the first exit off the roundabout, signposted kendal (A591). Travel, following signs for Windermere for approx. 16 mile. Turn left into Windermere, follow onto Lake road. Now follow directions from the map.

From the North
From M6 heading south exit a junction 40 follow signs for Keswick, then Amblesie, then Windermere. Turn right into windermere, follow onto Lake road.
