A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the Philbeach Guest House in Weymouth, England, which is situated on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. Now under
new management, the Philbeach B&B offers comfortable accommodation
from which to explore all that Weymouth has to offer.
The Philbeach Guest House is only 75 yards from Weymouth's glorious seafront, and offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation just a short walk from Weymouth's Old Harbour, Condor ferry terminal and host of bars, restaurant and shops.
We have 5 rooms in total; 3 doubles, 1 twin and 1 family. The are all en-suite and include a sumptuous English or Continental breakfast.
The guest house is non smoking and offers all guests free parking permits and wireless internet access. |

Local Attractions
|
Shopping: Weymouth town centre has all the usual mainstream outlets, as
well as a weekly market which can also be found in Portland and Dorchester.
Travel: Boats regularly leave the harbour on sight-seeing trips and fishing,excursions, while the Condor high-speed ferry will whisk you off to Jersey,Guernsey, France for the day should you want to head further afield.
Sports: Golf, sea and coarse fishing, watersports, motorsports, canoeing, diving,shooting, horse riding, badminton, tennis, squash, paragliding and quad biking to name a few!
Restaurants: There are restaurants to suit all tastes are Weymouth; Italian,
Chinese, Indian, Thai, and of course, quintessentially English cuisine to
name a few. Most are child-friendly too!
Nature & Wildlife: For a pleasant day out why not try a walk in Lodmoor
Country Park or a visit to Abbotsbury Swannery. Alternatively, treat the kids to an unforgettable trip to the Sea Life Centre or Monkey World?
Places of Interest: Take a short drive to the Isle of Portland and see the
famous Portland Bill lighthouse, or perhaps take a stroll along Chesil Beach and view The Fleet, Great Britain's biggest Tidal Lagoon, which forms part of the 95-mile stretch of coastline which runs from Orcombe Point in Devon to Old Harry Rocks in Swanage, Dorset and makes up the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Nightlife: Catch a show at the Pavilion Theatre, have a drink by the beautiful Old Harbour, or, for the younger or more energetic amongst you, try out some of the many bars and clubs in the town.
Special Events: Festival Week in August, which features the Red Arrows and a Carnival Parade, motorcross on the beach, speed boat racing in the bay
and a spectacular Bonfire Night fireworks display, to a Victorian night held at Pavilion Theatre in December and the famous New Years Eve celebrations where the majority of people wear fancy dress, you are sure to find something to suit your taste!

The Philbeach is ideally situated for those travelling by car, train or bus/coach. We are located only 10 minutes walk or a short taxi ride from both train and bus stations. If travelling by car, the best route into Weymouth is on the A354 Dorchester Road. Follow this road to the Manor Roundabout and go straight over, you will see a Morrisons supermarket on your left. After 2 miles you will see a church in front of you, take the right-hand lane around the church keeping to the right, you will then see Waterloo Place to your right - the Philbeach is second from the end nearest to you on your approach.
