The Galaxie Hotel is a family run hotel conveniently situated in a leafy residential area close to the centre of the historic University town of Oxford.
Our 25 years' experience helps us ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible whether it's for a single night or longer.
You will find The Galaxie Hotel in easy access of the city centre, colleges of the University, Oxford's main hospitals, as well as conference venues and other educational establishments.
Unlike the anonymous rooms found in some hotel chains, each of our 32 rooms has its own individual character, but all have the same high levels of comfort.
Recently refurbished, all our rooms have en-suite facilities (apart from our four economy rooms - ideal for anyone on a limited budget), and offer central heating, direct dial phone and satellite TV.
For business visitors we also offer a fax and message service.
Come the morning, what could be a better way to start the day than with croissants, rolls or pastries still warm from the oven of our local patisserie. Or, if you prefer, in this historic city, you could opt for the traditional English breakfast.
Whichever option you choose, the spacious, airy surroundings of our breakfast room will add to your enjoyment should you need to scan a report or just leisurely read your newspaper.
Within this multi-purpose mature garden several distinct areas were created using combinations of sculptures, plants and other garden features. The sculptures are by local artist Pam Foley.
Pam's artwork displays a consistent creative theme, and placement of the sculptures in horticultural settings brings out their emotional content. |
