Bed and Breakfast Description

The Mayfield Guest House (formerly the Mayfield Hotel, Seaburn) is beautiful semi-detached building overlooking Seaburn Park and the seafront, and offers superb bed and breakfast accommodation for visitors to Sunderland and the North East. The many excellent bars and restaurants on Seaburn Promenade are only a few minutes walk away. Within 400m of the Mayfield Guest House are long stretches of beach which have been awarded the Blue Flag.
The Mayfield Guest House is also convenient for Sunderland City Centre (2 miles), the Stadium of Light, the National Glass Centre and Coast to Coast cycle route.

The Mayfield Guest House is proud to have the Three Star rating. We take great pride in the comfortable and spacious rooms at the Mayfield Guest House and offer a warm welcome to all our guests whether they are visiting Sunderland for business or pleasure. Children are welcome.

All the accommodation has central heating, television, tea/coffee making facilities and shaver points. Hair dryers and ironing facilities are available on request as is a front door key. Ample secure off road car parking and bicycle storage is available at the Mayfield Guest House. Please note that all rooms are non-smoking.

From the North or South on the A19

Leave the A19 at the junction for the A1231, signposted 'Sunderland North'
Take the A1231 towards Sunderland, signposted for the National Glass Centre and the Stadium of Light
Go straight ahead at all roundabouts
At the traffic lights take the B1289, following directions for Roker and Seaburn
Pass the Stadium of Light and the National Glass centre
Drive through Roker and on towards Seaburn, with the sea on your right
Turn left at the roundabout in front of the Marriott Hotel
The Mayfield Hotel is about 200 m from the roundabout and is straight in front of you
Turn right into the Mayfield Guest House car park.
From the North or South on the A1

Leave the A1(M) at the junction for the A690 (Junction 62), signposted Sunderland and Durham
Turn onto the A690 towards Sunderland (not Durham)
Pass through Houghton-le-Spring and reach the junction with the A19
Turn left onto the A19 Northbound, following signs for Sunderland North
Follow the directions above (From the North or South, A19)
