Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request. We have on-site parking. We have a residents lounge. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area.

Welcome to Grange Fell Bed & Breakfast.

Grange Fell B&B offers comfortable spacious accommodation in a characterful Victorian house situated one third of a mile from the centre of Grange.

We offer two double rooms with ensuite and one twin/double/family room with private bathroom.

Our newly decorated spacious first floor bedrooms are furnished with antique country furniture and have tea & coffee making facilities with radio and television if desired. Hairdryer, iron and clothes washing facilities are available together with drying facilities.

Off-road parking and secure storage for bikes is available. Collection from Grange Railway Station can be arranged in advance.

Freshly cooked breakfasts are served in our newly refurbished, traditional country breakfast room using local free-range produce and French style bread from a local artisan baker.

Vegetarian options are available and lighter continental style breakfasts including fresh croissants and pain au chocolat if preferred. Packed lunches can be provided at extra cost.

 

Grange-Over-Sands Attractions

 
Grange Over Sands is an Edwardian resort situated overlooking Morcambe Bay on the Lake District Peninsulas. Known as the “Lakeland Riviera” Grange has a mild climate somewhat drier than the inland lake district. Grange has a good selection of old fashioned shops and cafes and a relaxed atmosphere.

Grange Fell is situated on the road from Grange to Cartmel it is on the Sustrans Cycle Route with easy access to the Cistercian Way. Grange Fell Golf Club is a couple of minutes walk away as is access to Hampsfell for walks with stunning views to the Langdales and Scafell Pike to the north and over Morcambe Bay and Arnside to the south.

The medieval village of Cartmel famous for it’s 12th century Priory, Horse Races and Sticky Toffee Pudding can be reached in a few minutes by car or on foot over the fells. Cartmel boasts 4 real-ale pubs and a tempting choice of restaurants, cafes, craft and gift shops.

Nearby places of Interest

Nearby places of interest include Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle. Lake Windermere is a ten minute drive from Grange and at nearby Bowness a car ferry provides an easy crossing for exploring Hawkshead, Ambleside, Coniston and the lake district mountains.

The Grange limestone pavements on Hampsfell are just a short walk away as is the Cistercian way.

Arnside & Silverdale—designated areas of outstanding national beauty are a short drive away.

Levens Hall with its unique topiary garden, Holker Hall with it’s award winning gardens and Lakeland Motor Museum, and historic Sizergh Castle are all within easy reach.

There are two excellent local golf courses which both welcome non-members.

The Lake District National Park, Coniston and Windermere are only a short drive away.

By Car

From the M6 leave the motorway at junction 36 following signs for Barrow in Furness and Lake District Peninsulas.
After 3 miles turn on to the A590 following Barrow, Lake District Peninsulas and Grange Over Sands.

At the roundabout take the first exit sign posted to Grange and Lindale. At Lindale take the first exit at the roundabout to Grange.

Once in Grange take the first exit at the roundabout following the road to the mini roundabout at the clocktower where you turn right following signs to Cartmel. At the crossroads go straight on up the hill. Grange Fell B&B is situated on the right after one third of a mile.

By Rail/Bus

Grange is easily accessable by mainline railway with a direct line from Manchester and with services from Lancaster to Barrow-in-Furness. Collection from Grange railway station can be arranged.
