|
Ravensworth House, Keswick established for almost 2 decades can be relied upon for the continued levels of comfort, service, cleanliness and attention to detail that you would expect from our Silver Award rating.
Situated in the heart of Keswick, Ravensworth is perfectly placed for a discovery of the town's charm and its many attractions, restaurants and public houses.
We can offer packed lunches and flask hire for your day out. We can also book theatre trips and restaurants. If you are planning a special occasion, we can arrange flowers, chocolates, champagne etc upon arrival or during your stay with us.
Our accommodation is amongst the best you are likely to find in Keswick. All our bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard, equipped with teletext television, trouser press, hairdryer, umbrella, mints, toiletries and hospitality tray. Fell views are experienced from most rooms We have nine bedrooms, all en-suite ranging from a Four Poster Suite with Jacuzzi bath, king sized bedded with bath and shower and standard doubles all with en-suite showers. We also have a ground floor king sized bedded or twin with en-suite shower for those who find stairs a problem.
We are extremely passionate about the food that we purchase and serve. All meat is supplied by local suppliers and is locally reared. Our free range eggs and milk are delivered directly to us from a local farm.
Tomatoes are organic and bought on the vine to ensure the maximum flavour and freshness. Mushrooms are organic where possible.
All of our sausage and bacon is grilled to ensure a healthy slant. Our Cumbrian Dry Cured bacon is cut thicker than usual to enjoy a ‘traditional’ rasher.
For the vegetarians amongst us, all of our tomatoes are grilled on a separate grill to ensure there is no contact with meat at any stage. |

The most relaxing way to appreciate the stunning views is to have a trip on the Keswick Launch, which takes you on a 50 minute tour of this beautiful lake. For the more adventurous, the valley of Borrowdale is just a stone's throw away, and is a heaven for climbers and walkers.
When the weather is bad and you're forced inside, Keswick comes into its own. Boasting a brand-new Theatre By The Lake, offering an eclectic mix of drama, music, dance and film, the world-famous pencil museum, Keswick's own museum and art gallery and the tranquil Trotters World of Animals. Keswick provides history and culture for the whole family. Pubs, restaurants, Saturday market, swimming pool & leisure centre, cinema and two nightclubs are also on offer.
For visitors to the Lake District, it is the stunning scenery of mountains and lakes that is the centre of attention. Whether you want to stroll around the lakes and valleys or you're the more adventurous hiker type, Keswick is only a short drive away from Lakeland's most beautiful spots.
