The Lake District National Park is a protected area with sixteen lakes, each possessing it's own distinct character, breathtaking mountains and passes, beautiful valleys, bustling villages and historic market towns, rain or shine the lake district is a splendid place to visit, with views that will touch your very soul.

Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage, both former homes of Wordsworth are close by. After taking the Windermere Ferry it's a short walk to Sawrey where Beatrix Potter's characters sprang to life, or Hill Top another of her homes.
