Pauline and Mark look forward to welcoming you to Craglands Guest House for b&b in Keswick in the Heart of the English Lake District. All the bedrooms feature uninterrupted mountain views of Grisedale and Causey Pike or Latrigg Fell. Most of Craglands bed & breakfast accommodation in Keswick is en-suite.
Enjoy the unique, relaxed and informal style of b&b accommodation where attention to detail is of paramount importance. Prepare to be tempted by breakfasts and packed lunches with home made dishes from quality local produce.
Take a peek at the seven comfortable bedrooms each named after a Crag on the Scafell Range - the higher the room, the higher the crag.
All bedrooms have colour television, hairdryer and radio/alarm clock together with a hospitality tray of biscuits and Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
You will also find fluffy white towels and luxurious bath sheets, shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, moisturising liquid soap and cosmetic products have been provided for your convenience. Bathrobes are provided for your comfort in the standard single rooms.

Keswick Attractions |

Keswick has a huge range of things to do - there are acitivites, shops and sporting venues on offer for all ages and abilities.
The Keswick Launch company (www.keswick-launch.co.uk) offer boat cruises around Derwentwater which stop at various jetties around the lake allowing visitors the ability to embark and rejoin another cruise. They also offer motor boats and rowing boats for hire.
The famous Theatre by the Lake (www.theatrebythelake.co.uk) stages amateur and professional shows throughout the year. There is also a gallery space, cafe and bar.
There are plenty of sporting venues including five superb golf courses within 30 miles, sailing and paragliding schools, Mountain Biking tracks and obviously some of the best walks within England.
Within the town of Keswick itself there is the Alhambra cinema showing the latest films, the Keswick Museum, Cars of the Stars which displays vehicles from tv and film, Keswick Spa which incorporates a leisure pool and gym, the Pencil Factory and Museum showing the origins of the modern pencil, the Climbing Wall and much much more.
There are plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to please any tastes. There is also the picturesque Fitz Park which has a stunning Cricket Pitch, putting green, bowling greens and tennis courts. |

Craglands is a charming Victorian Guest House offering quality B & B accomodation in a superb elevated position just 1 mile from Keswick Town Centre in the heart of the English Lake District:
From the M6, exit at Junction 40 (Penrith) and follow signs for Keswick on the A66. Continue on the A66 for 20 miles, then take the first exit for Keswick to the left (signposted Windermere and Keswick A591). Follow this road into the outskirts of the town until you come to a T- Junction and you are facing a large "Keswick" flower bed. Turn right, downhill and Craglands Guest House is immediately on the right.
From the South Lakes, follow the A591 for Keswick. As you come down a steep hill above the town you enter the 30 mile per hour zone. Keep heading downhill until you aproach a junction to the right for the A66 - do not turn at this junction but follow the road round to the left and Craglands is immediately on the right.
You will be accommodated at Craglands whatever your means of transport:
FOOT - ask for details of baggage forwarding
CAR - with private parking at the house
BICYCLE - secure cycle storage, hose and tools available for road and mountain bikes
MOTORCYCLE - with private parking at the house
BUS - stops just 200 metres from the house with links to Penrith, Grasmere, Windermere, Cockermouth, Workington, Whitehaven and Carlisle
TRAIN - nearest stations Penrith, Carlisle and Oxenholme
