We are the proud holders of five AA Stars and for the last six years we have been awarded a special breakfast accolade.

Whether you are staying with us on business or a relaxing break, B&B Rafters is dedicated to providing the very best.

When we opened B&B Rafters 12 years ago we set out to create a very special place, one where guests could relax and unwind after an eventful day.

Inspired by the elegant guest houses and chambers d'hotes of our native Europe, we transformed this wonderful house into a safe haven from the hectic outside world.

Our attention to detail is self-evident as soon as you step into one of our individually decorated guest rooms where comfort and contemporary design have been carefully combined to create a sense of home from home.

Breakfast at B&B Rafters is a memorable experience, cooked to order from fresh, locally sourced ingredients - be prepared to "breakfast like a king...".

And for the ultimate relaxation take a seat in the Keyton massage chair and soothe your aches and pains whilst your troubles melt away.

Our recently refurbished, individually decorated rooms showcase furniture by the exciting British designer Tom Schneider and wallpaper by Karolina Johansson. One room has a love sofa and another offers the ultimate blissful night's sleep in a Bodytone water bed.

You will always find fresh flowers, a cooling mineral water, refreshing tea and coffee, oversized fluffy towelling robes, organic toiletries and a programme guide for your TV.

Local Attractions
Stroll around the historic town of Abingdon, which is the oldest settlement in England, and along the tranquil banks of the River Thames.

Visit the university city of Oxford and enjoy its heritage.

You might want to explore Blenheim Palace with its beautiful grounds, do some shopping at the Bicester Outlet Village, or perhaps walk the Ridgeway.

If you are looking to keep up with your fitness training, there are local gymnasiums including the Vale of the White Horse Leisure Centre, and Tilsley Park.

If you are looking to improve your handicap, there are several top quality golf courses nearby including Frilford Heath Golf Club and Hinksey Heights Golf Club.

And last, but not least, some restaurant recommendations, all within a 10 minute drive, would include The Merry Miller, The Black Horse and The White Hart.
 

B&B Location
B&B Rafters is just 8 miles south of Oxford and 2 miles from the A34.

From the A34 (Abingdon interchange) head west on the A415 in the direction of Witney.

After about 2 miles you will reach the village of Marcham.

On entering the outskirts of the village you'll pass a set of traffic lights for a pedestrian crossing.

B&B Rafters is the first property immediately afterwards on the right-hand-side, set back from the main road behind a 6ft stone wall.
