Bed and Breakfast Description

The Coombe House is a charming detached house situated five minutes walk from the centre of the lovely village of Bourton on the Water in the beautiful Cotswolds. This is a traditional English Bed and Breakfast accommodation for guests who enjoy the highest levels of comfort in a relaxed atmosphere. The bedrooms are en-suite and television, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, mini fridge and clock radio are provided in all rooms. Telephone available. Parking. No Smoking.

A charming and peaceful house situated five minutes walk from the centre of the village. We provide bed and breakfast accommodation for guests who enjoy high levels of comfort in a relaxed atmosphere.

All rooms are en suite with tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge, television, clock radio and many extras.

There is a sitting room for guests and a first floor terrace which overlooks the lovely garden.

Breakfast is served in the pretty dining room between 8.30 and 9.00am.
There is a choice of continental or full English Breakfast with vegetarian options.

Local Attractions
BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER - the village

Often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds, this is probably the most popular village in the Cotswolds. The River Windrush with its attractive low bridges runs right through the centre. There are many attractions suitable for visitors of all ages, including Birdland, the Model Village and Village Life Exhibition, the Motor Museum, the Cotswold Perfumery, the Model Railway and St Lawrence’s Church which is notable for its domed tower, unique in the Cotswolds. Salmonsbury Meadows has recently been saved as a wildlife reserve and the Iron Age site of Salmonsbury Camp can be traced in outline.

BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER - walks

The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty with its rolling hills, wide open views, cosy valleys, rivers and streams and its enchanting little villages. There are many walks from the village centre designed for the visitor to enjoy the variety of scenery. Most walks are along public bridleways and footpaths and where roads are included in a walk, they are usually quiet country lanes. There are longer walks up to 12 miles in length with shorter alternatives and also footpaths in and around the village itself for more casual walks of up to an hour.

A short riverside walk leads to the centre of this beautiful Cotswolds village where there are many shops and a good choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants. It is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with lots to see and do. For those who love walking it is a paradise. It is the perfect centre from which to visit many wonderful places including famous gardens like Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate and Sudeley Castle. For those who enjoy history an hours drive will take you to Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Stratford on Avon and Warwick Castle. Cheltenham is a short drive away. Horseriding and golf are available nearby. Restricted opening in winter.
