A beautiful and welcoming house awaits you in the charming wooded village of High Kelling in North Norfolk. Plantation House rests in a third of an acre of quiet gardens, and after a careful and extensive refurbishment, has an eclectic style all of its own, offering rich and enticing en-suite bedrooms, each with a peaceful view of the gardens, woods or grasslands. The colonial style interior contains many thoughtful touches, including antiques and exquisite artifacts collected specifically for each room. The character of the property is also reflected in the gardens, where particular attention has been paid to planting and arrangement.
Each bedroom has been thoughtfully and evocatively furnished with beautiful period pieces and fabrics. The four poster suite epitomises luxury and indulgence, whilst our other double suites offers elegance and grandeur. A sumptuous twin bedded room is also available. The bedrooms also include colour televisions with videos and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can relax in the warm and comfortable lounge and enjoy a wonderful home cooked breakfast from the comprehensive menu, which is served between 8.30amd and 9.00am in our intimate breakfast room. There is also plenty of private, off road parking at the property.

Only one mile away from the popular shopping town of Holt, Plantation House ideally situated for local attractions and historic properties to visit.
Holt is a historic Georgian, former market town renown for its many antique and bric-a-brac shops, along with galleries and boutiques. A friendly and vibrant town, there are many coffee shops, public houses and tea rooms which makes it a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike. Browse in the book shop or treat yourself to something special from the fine delicatessen or chocolatieres. There is also a bounty of unusual shops to explore.
Also close to Plantation House is North Norfolk Steam Railway's Holt Station, where you can take a romantic train journey through the countryside enjoying views across Kelling Health, Weybourne and the seaside town of Sheringham.
Perhaps North Norfolk is best known for its areas of outstanding natural beauty, framed by Clement Scott in Poppyland. The vast open skies, salt marshes, sandy beaches and breathtaking views are a haven for ornithologists, photographers, artists and walkers.
There are many country houses to visit in and around North Norfolk including those owned by the National Trust, namely Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall which offers guided tours around the grounds, and outdoor theatre, concerts and craft fairs throughout the year. Plantation House is situated at High Kelling, about a mile east of the Georgian town of Holt in North Norfolk. We are located in a quiet cul-de-sac a short distance from the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer road. The A148 is accessible from the A17 and A47 that joins it at King's Lynn. If you are traveling from the south, you will almost certainly be using the A11 into the county. Upon arriving at Norwich, turn left onto the ring road, following signs to Cromer A140. You will eventually pass Norwich Airport on your right. At the next roundabout, you have the choice of taking the first exit, which is the B1149 to Holt or staying on the A140 to Cromer. We would recommend the second choice, as the road is much better. The Holt road out of Cromer is well signed and Holt is approximately 10 miles away.
