Ochil Villa B&B is situated in Freuchie, a French Hugenot linen weaving village dating from the 16th century to which out of favour courtiers were banished from the Royal Summer Palace in nearby Falkland.
Our B&B has one very comfortable double room and one extremely spacious family room which can sleep two adults and one child. Both rooms have television and welcome trays. The guest rooms, including shower and breakfast rooms, are located on the ground floor. We have off-street parking to the rear of the property. Access from this parking area involves one door sill, but no steps or slopes.
Our welcome to Cyclists and bikers, Walkers, Families, Dogs Owners and Internet users Cyclists and bikers : There is covered storage and workshop space Walkers : We can provide packed lunches and drying facilities. You can also consult our maps of this area and other areas of Scotland Families : Children will enjoy the garden, board games and DVDs/videos. A high chair and a travel cot are available. Dogs and their well behaved owners : They will appreciate the secure garden and hopefully enjoy the company of our two. Internet junkies : Wireless Internet access is available throughout including the garden.

Local Attractions

We are located in the stunning farmland of North East Fife. There are 46 golf courses within a 20 mile radius including St Andrews Old Course. National Trust properties, Fife’s coastal path and the Lomond Hills are close by for those who enjoy the outdoors. Other attractions are Deep Sea World, Dabbs Equestrian Centre (3 miles) and Scottish Off Road Centre (7 miles).
Cathedrals, Castles, Abbeys, Museums and Palaces! There are many historic buildings worth visiting e.g. St. Andrews Castle and Cathedral, Dunfermline Abbey, Culross and Falkland Palace & gardens, while Ceres Folk Museum and Anstruther Fisheries Museum show what life was like in Fife in the past.
Bird Reserves, Animal Parks:- at Loch Leven RSPB Nature Reserve (Vane Farm) and Tentsmuir, the Fife Animal Park, and the Scottish Dear Centre
Rock Pools, Sandy Beaches, Coastal walks. The Fife coast is very varied, from the sandy beaches at Earlsferry, St. Andrews, Aberdour, Crail, and Tentsmuir to the rock pools and pebbles at Elie, East St. Andrews, Kings Barns, and it is all linked by the Fife Coastal path —81 miles from North Queensferry on the Forth to Tayport on the Tay.
The East & West Lomond hills provide many walks from the East Lomond car park, or from Craigmead between the two hills or you can walk through Mapsie Den in the wooded area above Falkland.

Our location gives easy access to St. Andrews, the Fife Coast, Falkland, Edinburgh, Perth and is a good staging post on the way to the Scottish Highlands from the south or Rosyth Ferry.
