Your lasting memories of Sawrey House Country Hotel will certainly stem from our Air Conditioned restaurant.
Food is very high on our list of priorities and receives the keen attention of the proprietor Kim Larsen and her partner John
Dishes are stylishly presented integrating both Modern British and European influences using local produce. Our breads and desserts are homemade. We cater for special dietary needs including vegetarian dishes. We have a selection of fine wines at a reasonable price to complement our food.
Our breakfast ranges from traditional to lighter alternatives such as Sauté Wild Mushrooms with thyme on toasted brioche or smoked Haddock, Poached Egg, smoked Salmon with scrambled egg and supplemented by cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts, hot toast, croissants, preserves and tea & coffee.
Dinner is in our candlelit Restaurant each evening with music provided by piano.
But it's not only the menu that's memorable - the timeless panoramic views of Grizedale Forest and Esthwaite Water come no grander than from our lounge and dining room windows.
The homely ambience continues through into each one of the 12 charmingly decorated and furnished en-suite bedrooms.
All the rooms have an individual appeal and character.
In keeping with a traditional country house, rooms are various sizes with many commanding spectacular views across the lake to the forest.
All our twin, double and single rooms have full tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, radio and direct dial telephones.
Our mature gardens gives our guests a serene opportunity for outdoor relaxation, just sitting by our water fountain reflecting the days activities, or meander in the garden and enjoy different views of the forest, mountains & lake.
Sawrey House Country Hotel is a place you'll want to re-experience, with every aspect of your stay personally supervised by the family owners who maintain the highest standards of excellence throughout. |
