Bed and Breakfast Description

Our luxury B and B accommodation offers fresh, spacious double, twin and single rooms each with newly fitted bathroom. Our rooms are equipped with television, DVD player and hairdryer. Choose from a hearty full Scottish or continental breakfast before heading off for the day.

Our ensuite rooms are spacious, welcoming and comfortably furnished. The large family room at the front of the house enjoys stunning views across Loch Goil to the mountains and the twin/double room on the ground floor overlooks the mountains to the rear. Each room is fully equiped with television, DVD player, hairdryer and generous hospitality tray. Our bedding is of superior quality with crisp cotton sheets and cosy throws.

Local Attractions
Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, climbing, fishing or sailing Argyll is the perfect destination. Discover stunning scenery, castles, museums and a breathtaking array of wildlife including seals, red squirrels, eagles, porpoises and dolphins. We welcome walkers, sailors, cyclists, motorcyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. We have a secure lock up area for bicycles, hard standing for motorbikes and storage room for all your outdoor clothing and equipment.

Walking

The West Highlands offer some of the most diverse and breathtaking scenery in the British Isles and provides walkers with rugged mountains, beautiful woodlands and stunning coastline. Golf

Within a short distance of Rowan House you will find a number of golf courses including Drimsynie, Inveraray and Dalmally.

Quad Biking & Clay Target Shooting

For those looking for adventure why not pay a visit to nearby Quadmania. They offer quad bike trekking, clay target shooting and kayaking, all in the stunning Argyll scenery.

Rowan House is situated on a single track road on the edge of Loch Goil in the village of Carrick Castle.

Nearest Airport: Glasgow International Airport (53 miles)

Nearest Railway Station: Arrochar & Tarbet (18 miles)

To reach us by road from Glasgow:

Follow the A82 along the side of Loch Lomond to Tarbet.
From Tarbet take the A83 through Arrochar to the Rest & Be Thankful.
Turn left onto the B828 and onto the B839 to Lochgoilhead and Carrick Castle.

Before the hump back bridge into Lochgoilhead turn right towards Carrick Castle.

Follow the road for 5 miles.

You will see Rowan House on the right hand side of the road in Carrick Castle village.

Nearest Airport: glasgow  (90  Minutes Drive)

Nearest Railway Station: arrochar and tarbet  (15  Miles)
