A warm welcome awaits you on your arrival at Briscoe Lodge – a stone Victorian guesthouse built in 1891, two minutes walk from the centre of Windermere.

Briscoe Lodge is managed by Janett and Graham. Accommodation is modern and friendly and holds a top end 3 star rating from the Quality Assurance Visit Britain Scheme.

The guesthouse is a non-smoking establishment and is run on an environmentally friendly basis. Free, safe on street parking is readily available for guesthouse users.

The guesthouse has 3 double en suite letting rooms, (1 of which can be divided into a twin). Children and babies are welcome where possible and a travel cot is available.

Our rooms are serviced daily and include flat screen colour TV, DVD player (a complimentary DVD library is available) tea/coffee making facilities, ironing facilities and hair dryer. The complimentary hospitality tray in your room holds a variety of quality refreshments and includes bottled water, all of which are replenished daily.

Breakfast is served at 0900hrs in the modern dining room, which also houses a chill out area for guests. Earlier breakfasts are available by arrangement. Our breakfast menu offers a wide choice for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. We aim to use local produce where ever possible.

Do you have a special occasion you want to celebrate in a romantic setting? We're happy to arrange for chocolates, flowers, champagne to await you in your room; organise special picnic hampers or simply provide you with advice on nice restaurants and places of interest in the local area.
