In a quite corner of windermere village you will come across our The Chestnuts Bed and Breakfast. Perfectly situated to make the most of Lake Windermere and its beautiful surrounding areas. The Chestnuts makes the ideal base for enjoying the fabulous Lake District whether you want to relax and take in the spectacle, explore the fells or enjoy a meal in the numerous pubs and restaurants.

There is a choice of six charming bedrooms with king sized four posters and standard king size beds all with either en-suite showers, baths or both.
All our rooms come with complimentary tea and coffee, flat screen tv with dvd player, clock radio, central heating, wine glasses and cork screws. Fluffy bath towels also available.

From the M6 motorway take the A5901/A591, bypassing Kendal. As you approach Windermere turn left into the village. Almost immediately you will enter a one way system and at the end is a pelican crossing. Count each left turning and when you reach the fourth turn left into Lake Road by the clock tower. Take the first right into Princes Road and you will immediately see The Chestnuts on your right. Take the first opening on the right into The Chestnuts car park.
