Description

A warm welcome awaits you from Sarah & Richard and the team at the Holcombe Inn. Recently extensively refurbished, we are sure that you will find this a delightful place to enjoy a drink and a superb meal or perhaps come and stay for a few days.

Enjoy relaxing evenings watching the sun setting over the nearby Downside Abbey. Visit the local area including Bath, Bristol and Wells and return for a stunning evening meal in our candlelit restaurant.

The Holcombe Inn is a 17th century grade II listed building, taking its name from the village in which it is situated. Holcombe is an old village which even has a mention in the Doomsday Book. The building is packed with original features and interesting nooks and crannies.

We have eight delightfully individual rooms, all of which are non-smoking and have larger than average ensuite facilities. Each room contains a TV, tea / coffee making facilities, a telephone and free wireless broadband. All bedrooms are decorated to suit the individuality we offer and many have lovely countryside views

Wake up to a warming hearty breakfast in The Holcombe Inn restaurant including fresh fruit and juices, cereal buffet and Full English Breakfast

England's smallest city is only 11 miles away, this is a lovely place to visit and has a beautiful cathedral with a World famous clock. The Bishop of Bath and Wells Palace and is famous for the swans on the moat who ring a bell when it is time to be fed. There is a general and farmer's outdoor market in the Market Square every Wednesday and Saturday.

Bristol
About 15 miles from here is the City of Bristol with it's fascinating maritime history, floating harbour and cosmopolitan dockside areas. Visit the SS Great Britain, Isambard Kingdom Brunel's ship, lovingly restored to it's former glory - or perhaps a little further up river, Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge. Bristol has it's own zoo, very popular amongst families, then perhaps a bit of "out of town" shopping at Cribbs Causeway. Look out for the annual harbour festival and the hot air balloon fiesta - a free event taking place each August.
