Junipers Bed and Breakfast is a large bungalow situated 5 miles NE of Salisbury and approx 12 miles from Stonehenge, in the sleepy, quiet hamlet of Firsdown, near the village of Winterslow.
All our rooms are fully en-suite with bath and/or shower and are comfortably furnished, with colour TV and tea & coffee making facilities. An iron is available on request.
A separate living room and dining area is provided exclusively for our guests.
Breakfast is served at 8am, unless by prior arrangement. (On December 25th, 26th and 27th, a Continental breakfast will be available.) We are sympathetic to those with special dietary requirements.
In the little hamlet of Firsdown, itself a quiet retreat, sits the stylish and modern bungalow - The Junipers, which has just received the accolade of Golden Achievement Award for Excellence. Perfectly situated for exploring the mystical and beautiful area surrounding historic Salisbury.
Owner and engineer Laurence Slater, has been developing the property for 22 years and has obviously brought a very individual style to the B&B, which adjoins his own bungalow. Three bedrooms are available to guests and are all en-suite, leading to the guests dining room/lounge.
Laurence has put a lot of love and energy into the property, which has been purpose built to his desires. In short, this means that his own hands have made the maple bedroom furniture, purpose made garden furniture and steel spider web gazebo. Patio doors in the back bedroom open onto the back garden, which is perfect for an evening drink and relaxing as the sun slowly descends. Breakfast is certainly a treat, only the finest local and award winning ingredients such as bacon and sausage make it into your plate, and with homemade suits of armour on display, it shouldn’t be hard to find a blade to spread jam on your toast! |
