Bed and Breakfast Description

West View Lodge is a large, light and airy traditional stone built house with superb views. Nearby a tranquil riverside walk takes you to the medieval castle and the ancient church in the picturesque village of Warkworth with it's cosy pubs and excellent eating places.

We offer double and twin rooms, all are en-suite or have a private bathroom (with shower & bath). All rooms are furnished to a high standard and provide TV, video/dvd, radio, tea and coffee making faclities and hairdryer. We also provide those little extras, such as hot chocolate, sweets, and fresh flowers for your enjoyment.


Our guests are welcome to relax in the private south facing garden or mingle with other guests in the charming lounge where books, chess, music and board games are available.

Not only are our rooms of the highest standard, but for all our guests we serve a hearty full English breakfast to set you up for the day or you can choose our delicious continental style breakfast basket all served in our charming dining room. For our breakfast menus we use local produce and ingredients when possible. A packed lunch can also be provided at a modest charge.

West View Lodge is a large attractive stone built house with delightful views and a private sunny garden. Situated near a beautiful riverside walk leading to the ancient castle and church, all our guests will receive a warm welcome and assistance with planning their activities at the many local attractions if required.

A warm welcome awaits you in our large traditional stone house nestling in beautiful countryside yet only a short distance to the sea. Nearby a tranquil riverside walk takes you to the medieval castle and ancient church in the historic and picturesque village of Warkworth with it's cosy pubs and excellent eating places.

The Alnwick Garden and Castle are just 10 minutes drive away, The Cheviot Hills just 20 mins and the galleries, theatres and shops of Newcastle only 35 minutes away.

ALNWICK
Visit the historic market town of Alnwick with its magnificent castle where Harry Potter was filmed and the Alnwick Garden with it's famous treehouse and fountains.

SEAHOUSES
The Holy Island of Lindisfarne and The Farne Islands.
Take a boat trip from Seahouses to see the seal colony and nesting birds on The Farne Islands, scene of the famous Grace Darling rescue. Remember to check out the safe crossing times to visit Holy Island with the majestic Lindisfarne Castle and The Priory.

Explore the wonderful rolling hills with breathtaking scenery and inspiring views.

A1 from the north:
Take the exit for Alnwick and turn right. At the T junction turn left. At the roundabout take A1068 for Alnmouth and Warkworth.7miles. On entering Warkworth continue past the castle and proceed onto Morwick Road. Continue for further half mile then turn right onto Watershaugh Road, follow the road around to the left and West View Lodge is ahead on the left.

A1 from the south:
Exit via the B6345 at Felton (signposted Amble and Acklington.) Proceed through West and East Thirston .At Acklington go straight ahead for Warkworth. Watershaugh Road is first on the left. Follow road around to the left and West View is ahead on the left.
