Description

We are a family-run guesthouse, and make every effort to give you 'that little bit extra' you can expect.

We aim to provide the highest possible standard of accommodation. We have recently completed a programme of extension and refurbishment, and all our tastefully decorated and spacious rooms have the following:

Breakfast is served in our superbly decorated traditional English dining room. Patio doors lead to a Victorian conservatory then on to a well maintained courtyard and parking area with plants and shrubbery.

Location
We are located just off the sea front at Roker of the A183 Sunderland - Whitburn. The City Centre, Stadium of Light, University St. Peter's Campus and National Glass Centre are only minutes away.

Travelling by car:

Coming via the A1 from the South or North:

Leave the motorway at Junction 62 (Sunderland / Durham)
Turn right into the A690 in direction towards Sunderland
Follow A690 (You will pass Houghton-le-Spring)
After 6 miles turn left onto the A19
Leave the A19 at Junction Sunderland North
Turn onto the A1231 eastwards and follow signs "National Glass Centre / Stadium of Light"
At the Stadium of Light follow signs to "National Glass Centre" in direction of Roker (A183)
Follow the A183 after the National Glass Centre until you see the seafront in front of you.
Take the first road on the left, which is St. George's Terrace.

Coming via the A19 from the South or North:

Leave the A19 at Junction Sunderland North
Turn onto the A1231 eastwards and follow signs "National Glass Centre / Stadium of Light"
At the Stadium of Light follow signs to "National Glass Centre" in direction of Roker (A183)
Follow the A183 after the National Glass Centre until you see the seafront in front of you.
Take the first road on the left, which is St. George's Terrace.


Travelling by public transport

Sunderland is linked directly to Newcastle train station by a state of the art Metro system. The nearest Metro stations are St. Peter's and Stadium of Light, which are both approximately 15 - 20 minutes away from our hotel.

Newcastle has nationwide train links with all major cities like Manchester, London and Edinburgh as well as Glasgow and is served by GNER and Virgin. Sunderland is just 45 minutes away from Newcastle International airport and can be reached directly by the Metro system.
