Chris and Christine Ryder welcome you to Scaife Hall Farm.

Our 500-acre working hill farm is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The location is peaceful and picturesque and an ideal place in which you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Awake to the moorland views, the birds singing, the fresh clean Yorkshire air and start the day with a hearty Yorkshire Farmhouse Breakfast before venturing out to explore our wonderful surroundings. There’s so much to see and do you will be spoilt for choice

On the farm we keep a flock of Swaledale and Blue Faced Leicester sheep which lamb from around mid march until the end of April. We have happy free range hens who provide part of your breakfast, and we also have two Border Collies called Jill and Milly who are an essential part of Chris’s farm team and can regularly be seen riding on the motorbike with him!

Our accommodation offers 3 rooms in all, 2 double rooms with ensuite shower room and 1 twin bedded room with ensuite bathroom (shower over the bath).
The guest lounge downstairs has crackling log fires in the winter , a colour TV and video. There is lots of tourist information, books and maps which you can borrow to help you plan your day. A fridge is provided for you.

Location

From Harrogate:
Take the A59 towards Skipton, keep on this road for approx. 9 miles. Go past the Hopper Lane Hotel, down the steep hill and take the first road signposted to Dacre and Pateley Bridge. This road is Hardisty Hill. We are 500 yards on the left.

From Skipton:
Take the A59 towards Harrogate. Blubberhouses is approx. 12 miles. You will see a little church on a hill on the right and a signpost on the left telling you to turn left to Dacre and Pateley Bridge. Turn left here into Hardisty Hill and we are 500 yards on the left.

From Otley:
Come out of Otley over the river and keep going on this road, over the moors for 7 miles. By the river do not turn right on the B6451, When you get to the A59 turn right towards Harrogate for approx. 500 yards and take the first left into Hardisty Hill.
