Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Knabbs Ash Bed & Breakfast is situated in a quiet rural location in the Yorkshire Dales, 6 miles west of Harrogate, and with expansive views to the White Horse and Hambleton Hills. We are also within easy reach of Skipton, Pateley Bridge, Ripon, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Ilkley, Otley and Leeds/Bradford airport.

All rooms are well appointed, have en-suite facilities, and together with the many extras, will ensure that your stay with us is restful and memorable.

This is a no-smoking household.

No pets allowed.

We are sorry that we are unable to accommodate children under 10 years old.

Our B&B offers two double rooms, and one twin room. All these guest bedrooms are comfortably furnished and well equipped, offering:

clock radio
hospitality tray with tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and biscuits
In each en-suite room, you'll find fresh white towels and face cloths; bath robe; soaps, shower gel and shampoos.

Harrogate Attractions

 
Harrogate
Famous for its Spa and Valley Gardens, it is also renowned for the new exhibition and conference centre; its shopping centre; and the Stray; Well worth a visit.

Skipton
Skipton 'The Gateway to the Dales'. At the southern base of the Yorkshire Dales, Skipton is a friendly town with a population of around 16,000. It has history, a castle, cobbled streets, ducks and canal boats.

Knaresborough
Knaresborough has much to offer visitors - a beautiful crag-top setting on a gorge of the River Nidd with the remains of an ancient castle; riverside walks and caf?s; the curious Dropping Well; and the semi-legendary figure of Mother Shipton and her prophecies.

Ripon
Ripon offers so much antiquity to explore and so much to visit. There is the magnificent Cathedral, Thorpe Prebend House and the canal basin. From the vibrant Market Place, with its fine Georgian buildings and imposing 300 year-old obelisk, radiate quaint medieval streets filled with fascinating shops and tea rooms.

Masham
A typical Yorkshire market town, and also the home of two major real ale brewers - 'Theakstons' and 'Black Sheep'

Leeds
Well known attractions include the Thackwray Medical Museum, the Armley Mills Industrial Museum, and the Royal Armouries National Museum of Arms & Armour.

York
Why not enjoy a visit to York Minster, the National Railway Museum, the Yorvik Viking Centre, the York Castle Museum, and the Yorkshire Museum? If you've any time left, the shopping centres are worth a visit.

By road from Skipton, travel east on the A59 (signed to Harrogate).

Knabbs Ash is on the left approximately 16 miles from Skipton, and is 1.2 miles from the A59/B6451 crossroads.
By road from Harrogate, travel west on the A59 (signed to Skipton).

Knabbs Ash is on the right, 4.3 miles from the A61/A59 roundabout, and 3.4 miles from the A59/B6161 roundabout.
