Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Wood Lodge was built in the early 1900's, and the history of the property is reflected in many of it's defining features. Beautiful cornicing, stunning stained glass windows, and a charming staircase are but a few of what makes the building so enchanting.

The hotel comprises of 15 en-suite bedrooms, including 4 ground floor rooms. Many of our rooms have lovely views of our award winning garden.

You can enjoy a tipple in our cosy inviting bar, or relax in either one of our two spacious lounges. The first lounge is a quiet reading lounge, the second, a bar lounge with 42" plasma screen TV.

Our dining room overlooks the rear garden, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the best in home-cooked cuisine.

Wood Lodge has a truly distinctive charm and appeal, and an atmosphere that our guests really enjoy.

 

Bournemouth Attractions

 
Of course Bournemouth is best known for it's seven miles of award winning safe beaches and with a higher-than-average sunshine record it is the ideal seaside holiday destination.
But Bournemouth and the surrounding area has a lot more to offer, whatever you seek for your perfect holiday.

This is the East Cliff area of Bournemouth, where Wood Lodge is situated. We are just a couple of minutes walk from this cliff-top,and a 10 minute walk down to the beach - you can walk down the 'zig-zag', or take the cliff lift down.

Coming into Bournemouth on the A338, continue past the Hurn airport turn off and the next flyover, which will take you on to the Wessex Way. At the first roundabout (you will see Asda and the train/coach station to your left) take the first exit left.

At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit straight on.Next roundabout 2nd exit straight on again. You'll see St. Swithuns Church in front of you. First left will take you on to Manor Road.
We are on the left, opposite the first road you see on your right.
