Situated on the River Tillingham and Gibbet's Marsh, Rye Windmill has a relaxed countryside atmosphere yet is only a two minute walk from the historic town of Rye. Rye Windmill B&B is rated 4 stars by the AA and is also fully licensed. In the evenings guests can relax with a drink in the base of the windmill before going out to enjoy one of Rye's many superb restaurants.Rye Windmill provides guests with eight comfortable double rooms, all with very spacious en-suites. Four rooms are on the ground floor and four on the first. Each room has a colour TV with a digital box, a hot drinks tray, mineral water and other thoughtful touches.

The ancient town of Rye is the jewel in the crown of all the Cinque Ports and is arguably Britain's most picturesque. But Rye, and Rye Windmill, also provide visitors with the ideal base from which to enjoy the surrounding area and its wealth of attractions.

Amongst the most beautiful countryside Britain has to offer you will find grand stately homes, stunning gardens, fabulous castles, Norman abbeys, fascinating nature reserves and sandy beaches. For example, keen gardeners will marvel at the displays of Great Dixter, Sissinghurst and Scotney Castle. And who couldn't be impressed by the grandeur of our finest castles like Hever, Bodium, Leeds and Herstmonceux. There really is so much to see and do, but there's more ...There's an infinite variety of countryside and landscapes for cyclists to enjoy as there are dedicated bike routes taking in seashore, marshes, woodland and farmland. Rye Windmill can provide secure overnight storage for bikes.

There are at least twelve golf courses all within easy reach of Rye offering rounds to suit all standards and pockets. Among them are some of the best clubs in the country including Littlestone, Cooden Beach, Chart Hills and Hemstead Forest. Even some favourite French courses are accessible as there are regular flights to Le Touquet from Lydd airport.
