Description

There are 2 en-suite bedrooms, one double/one twin available, all on one level.

Enjoy the tranquility and natural surroundings - off-road walking and cycling begin at our door. Visit Hamsterley Trailblazers for offroad cycling in the forest.

Local, fairtrade and organic food will be used as far as possible.

Facilities include:
Private parking.
Pleasant gardens.
Hot tub/Jacuzzi.
Secure cycle storage.

We have a large garden (with lawns, flower beds, fruit trees/plots and a vegetable garden) which guests are welcome to enjoy at all times.

There are various seating areas and lawns, some of which are accessed without steps.

We have a large summerhouse in the garden with a jacuzzi and a pleasant seating area.

Local Attractions
The nearest shops are in Wolsingham, about 6 miles away. Whereas the joys of walking round the wonderful countryside of county Durham starts right outside our doorstep.
 

Location
Three miles (approx) North of West Auckland follow brown tourist sign for Hamsterley Forest off the A68.

In Hamsterley village turn right following brown tourist sign for Hamsterley Forest.

At the bottom of the hill turn left following the brown tourist sign for Hamsterley Forest.

Please do not pay the toll to enter the forest. If someone is collecting the toll, please advise them that you are visiting John and Julie in the Forest Holdings.

Follow the road and after passing a bungalow on your left take the next turning on the right (ignore “no unauthorised vehicles” sign).

Pass three bungalows and the farm and we are the next bungalow – painted white.
