Bed and Breakfast Description

Welcome!

Our 2008 season has now begun and the flow of guests is growing. Many of our guests are here for a second (or in a number of cases many more) visits. Judging by the number of advance bookings we have already taken for this year, we recommend that you book as early as you can to guarantee availability of the room you want.

We have worked hard to ensure that whatever reason brings you here, you will find what you had hoped for - perhaps archaeology, long distance walking, taking part in one of the major national sporting events held here, working locally, relaxing and enjoying the area, seeing friends or family, or simply passing through – we have or can direct you to everything you hoped for and more.

Our breakfasts are legendary and good local places for eating are plentiful. We can suggest restaurants to suit every palate, starting with the popular and highly regarded Camelot pub just across the road.

We recently enjoyed a visit by an inspector from a well-known (French) travel/accommodation publisher who was most complimentary about our standards and quality. We are hopeful that this will lead to our fourth listing in their prestigious B&B directory. We are not allowed to mention their name but you can see their sticker when you come!

Local Attractions

South Cadbury is most well-known for its Iron Age hill fort which is thought by many to be the site of King Arthur’s Camelot. Every year people come from all over the world to walk around its ramparts and enjoy the fantastic views across to Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels.
There is an extensive archaeological study in progress in the area. Click here for details of the South Cadbury Environs Project.
