Local Attractions
|
The palace pier is acknowledged as one of the finest ever built and is over 100 years old. It is a hive of activity, funfair rides, arcades, fortune-tellers, bingo hall, restaurants and bars, and a night club for our visitors who like the club scene.
The pavillion Is probably Brightons best known landmark. George IV, otherwise known as Prince Regentfirst came to Brighton aged 21 to rehabilitate on his doctors advice. The Royal Pavilion grew over 35 years from a farmhall to the indian style palace building we see today. Inside, the restoration is breathtaking and is well worth a visit.
The marina was built just 30 years ago on what was open sea and is now home to hundres of yacht's. It is like a small town with up to eight hundred houses and flats, creating a small community with a cinema, bowling complex, many shop's, bar's/pub's and restaurant's.
There is of course the world famous 'Lanes', where you will find a variety of shop's including jewelry and antique shop's, designer label shop's, cafés, bar's and restaurant's. |
