Bed and Breakfast Description
We are situated in a quiet residential area just above Preston Park within walking distance of the town centre. Our Victorian house has a contemporary feel with oil paintings, pottery and stained glass by local artists.



Local Attractions
Local Attractions Royal Pavilion & Gardens It takes just ten minutes by car or bus to get into town. You can stroll through the Pavilion Gardens, and take a tour around the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. In the evening, you can go to the Theatre Royal, or there are classical concerts, music and dance at The Dome and Corn Exchange. Brighton Pier & Beach Visit the famous Pier or stroll along the promenade. This area is alive, particularly on Sunday mornings where artists sell their wares in the seaside boutiques. You can take a Tuk Tuk around town or Volks Railway to the Marina with its many shops and restaurants. The Lanes and shopping areas Visit the narrow alleyways of The Lanes, where you will find antique shops, boutiques and small squares and cafes. Also there is the more bohemian North Laines area and Saturday morning flea market and the covered shopping mall at Churchill Square and Western Road. Preston Park area A short walk down the hill from Roslyn is Preston Park with tennis, bowls, bike hire and The Rotunda cafe and Rose Gardens. You can walk through adjacent Blakers Park to the Fiveways shopping area. There are some very good bistro pubs (Park View and The Open House) and several cafes that we can recommend if you prefer to eat locally. South Downs Way From Fiveways you can just drive up Ditchling Road and you are in the countryside. There are the beauty spots of Ditchling Beacon and Devils Dyke with amazing views over the countryside plus several golf courses and many areas along the South Downs for walking and horse riding.

B&B Location

As you enter Brighton on the main road from London, the A23/A27 turn left at Preston Manor, up Preston Drove and take the 5th turning on your right on the brow of the hill. We are towards the bottom of Chester Terrace on the right. We have a yellow front door. On street parking is free.

Local buses run every 10 minutes into the city centre. It takes about 15 minutes by bus, or you can walk which takes about 25 minutes. It is only 5 minutes by taxi from Brighton and Preston Park stations or 20 minutes on foot with trains into London. London Road station is a 5 minute walk, with trains to the Universities, Lewes and beyond. We offer a free pick up at either the station or bus stop on request.
