Bed and Breakfast Description

Welcome to our home where we offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation of the highest standard.

Built circa 1680; Greta House is situated in the beautiful village of Kettlewell, gateway to Upper Wharfedale, North Yorkshire, and set within the boundaries of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.

It is an important stepping-stone on the famous Dales Way walk or the Inn Way, and well placed for all amenities in the village and is opposite the village beck.

However you decide to explore the area whether by car, bus, bicycle or foot we feel sure you will find your stay at Greta House Bed and Breakfast a comfortable, friendly and pleasurable experience.

Greta House offers two double en-suite rooms, one of which is a large double or twin bedded room with en-suite shower. The other is a double room with luxury en-suite bath.

Both rooms have full central heating, radio, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities.

We also offer a residents lounge with TV, open fire in the winter, and facilities for drying.

Local Attractions
Conveniently placed to visit many sites of interest, which include Bolton Abbey, Malham, Hawes, Grassington and Skipton.

The area offers a chance to experience stunning scenery, including waterfalls, open moor land, crags, hills and limestone pavements, all of which support a diverse range of flora and fauna and interesting and varied wildlife.

You could spend the day exploring many sites of historical interest including Harewood House, and Fountains Abbey, visit gardens of great beauty, travel the Settle-Carlisle railway or take a step back in time and enjoy the experience of riding a steam train at Embsay.

For those of a less adventurous nature you could "shop till you drop" as Harrogate, York, and Leeds offer excellent shopping opportunities.
 

B&B Location
From the A59: Heading towards Skipton take the 4th exit at the Skipton roundabout, signposted B6265 to Grassington.

Follow this road ignoring the Grassington turn-off at Threshfield. The road turns into the B6160 signposted for Kettlewell.

After crossing the main bridge into Kettlewell village follow the road round crossing a smaller bridge over the beck, turn immediately right Greta House is overlooking the beck on the left hand side opposite the red phone box.
