Bed and Breakfast Description

We are ideally situated for the tourist and business visitor alike, being just a short walk from the Conference Centre and close to the centre of Harrogate with its many restaurants and attractions. We are just as close to these as the King's Road guest houses, but we are much quieter!

We offer guests 5 very comfortable bedrooms of varying types and prices, all with colour television, radio and a well-stocked hospitality tray.

Our full English breakfast starts with a wide choice of cereals and is then cooked to order from our menu, using quality fresh produce. We can cater for vegetarian and other diets. Please let us know of any special requirements.

We hold a 3 diamond award from the English Tourism Council for guest accommodation.

We find it benefits all our guests to have a non smoking policy throughout the house.

Children are welcome - we can supply a cot and high chair - and we offer reduced rates for children sharing their parents' room.

We offer guests 5 very comfortable bedrooms of varying types and prices all with colour television, radio and a well-stocked hospitality tray.

We are at the end of the cul-de-sac and all the rooms are peaceful with very little traffic noise.

Local Attractions

Knaresborough is a small market town with a ruined medieaval castle with a spectacular view over the River Nidd and a quaint mixture of old and new buildings which give the town an old worlde feel. It has riverside walks, a Wednesday market and Old Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well -England’s oldest tourist attraction.

Ripon is one of Britain’s oldest cities, dating back to 866 AD. It has a racecourse, medieaval and Georgian buildings, a magnificent cathedral and the 1100 year old tradition of the Ripon Hornblower who ‘sets the watch’ each night to guarantee the city residents safety for the night. A few miles from Ripon is the National Trust’s Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal World Heritage Site.

Thirty minutes from Harrogate are two of the peaceful, beautiful Yorkshire Dales Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has the dramatic and surreal shapes of Brimham Rocks - a natural adventure playground with panoramic views over the Dales. Wharfedale has the Bolton Abbey Estate, owned by the Duke of Devonshire with miles of footpaths and spectacular riverside scenery open to the public.
