Description
|
|
Nestled in a corner of the Yorkshire Wolds with its own secluded gardens and small woodland, Burton Mount provides a relaxing retreat with luxury accommodation for both the leisure and business traveller. Burton Mount is home to the Greenwood family who over the years have become renowned for their warm hospitality and the highest of standards creating all that is best in an English country house.
Recently awarded the Tourist Boards 5 Star Gold Award.
From the spacious hall, the first-floor accommodation provides 3 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, each with television, hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathrooms are equipped with bathrobes and toiletries. Downstairs, the dining room has a magnificent presence, with French windows opening onto the terrace, which in turn leads through to the drawing room. Spacious and elegant, and on a winter's evening with a roaring log fire, the drawing room creates the perfect ambience in which to relax. There is in addition a large and comfortable sitting room with television, again with a log fire in winter.
The day begins with either a continental or a traditional Yorkshire breakfast, which includes smoked bacon, free-range eggs, homemade preserves, marmalade and delicious bread. The beautiful kitchen uses only the finest of locally supplied produce and the food is superbly cooked in the 4-ovened Aga. Breakfast is served in the adjoining morning room. |
