Robert and Lesley Reay welcome you to the Ashborne, a popular friendly family guesthouse in the Sunderland area offering our guests accommodation with the warmest of welcomes. Situated just off the Roker seafront, just a couple of miles from Sunderland city centre, guests here benefit from easy access to Sunderland and the North-East’s many attractions. Our commitment to comfort and cleanliness in the accommodation that we provide has led to us being awarded a 3-star rating by the English Tourist Board. Rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities, are furnished to a very high standard, and because we can offer a choice of single, double, twin or family rooms, we can provide accommodation to suit your needs. All guests, whether couples, families, or others, are welcome here as we aim to make sure that everyone arrives as a guest but leaves as a friend.
The Ashborne is easy to find (please see our Location page for directions), and once you get here there is plentiful on-street parking just outside the guesthouse. We are pleased to welcome pets so long as prior arrangement has been made at the time of booking.

We have 7 rooms here at the Ashborne, all of which are double-glazed and centrally heated, and have full en-suite facilities, a fridge, tea and coffee making equipment, as well as remote control colour TV.
A family room is also available, which is equipped with a DVD player and plenty of DVD's for the children.
In addition to the facilities provided in each room, we aim to satisfy the needs of all of our guests to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. We provide hairdryers, irons, leaflets and information about the local area, a modem point and a public telephone. |
