Description

A Country Guest House of real distinction located near to Cardiff offering comfortable accommodation at an affordable cost. Bed and breakfast facilities with a touch of class. Wonderful and traditional local produce breakfast in a delightful countryside setting.

Crossways House is a beautiful country mansion with an impressive central cupola , wood panelling and hand carved oak entrance hall ceiling. It's winding carved oak staircase and large Flemish brass chandelier provides an impressive impact to any new visitor to this historic manor house. The house is set in open countryside in it's own grounds of over 6 acres with many amenities including a floodlit tennis court.

This remarkable building steeped in fascinating history and charm is also a comfortable family home offering discerning guests a warm and friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast made of local produce.

Crossways house offers affordable accommodation and is situated just 1 mile outside of the historic and picturesque town of Cowbridge which dates back to medieval Britain and Roman occupation with many roman artefacts still evident today. The town is also known for its many smart and individual shops as well as its restaurants and olde pubs. There are also two pubs offering good food within easy walking distance of the house.

Local Attractions
Welcome to Wales a land of legend, of fire-breathing dragons, powerful wizards and ferocious giants. Follow in the footsteps of King Arthur and Merlin and step into a mystical and timeless land. Here are old ruins, ancient stone relics and old pubs and places to explore. All with their own strange tales to tell and the real ancestors of ancient Britain to tell them.

It is impossible to include all the places of interest in the area. So we offer you here a small sample of what is around. Many brochures are available in reception for you to peruse and keep.

The spectacular local coastline boasts wonderful views, sea walks and many lovely beaches

-Shopping: Cardiff (only 25 mins. away) offers exceptional and extensive shopping facilities. Alternatively 15 mins. drive away, is McArthur Glen an outlet shopping centre, offering designer brands at discounted prices.

ROUTE FROM M4 JUNCTION 35

-Leave M4 at Junction 35

-Signposted: A473 Pencoed

-At roundabout take south exit to Bridgend.

-Continue on the A473 to the third roundabout (2miles) and take the 1st exit onto the A48 to Cowbridge.

-Upon reaching the village of Pentre Meyrick turn

right onto the B 4270 to Llantwit Major and Llandow

(also signposted on a brown tourism sign to Atlantic

College and St Donats)

-Follow the road until it bears quite sharply to the right (chevron warning sign), on your left you will see a small lane, turn here. Follow the lane to the end (be careful there is no warning sign) and at T-juntion turn left passing West Lodge on your right hand side.

-Crossways House is a short way along on your right hand side. Enter through the large gates and follow the signs to the house aroun house on left side to inner courtyard at rear.
