Your hosts Gary and Vikki, welcome you to Cawthorne House Bed and Breakfast - a beautiful house and our home, which we started renovating in November 2005 and completed in March 2006, when we opened the door to our first guests.
Cawthorne House bed and breakfast is open all year round and boasts five spacious, en-suite guest rooms. Furniture and soft furnishings are a mixture of old and new, and all decoration meets the highest of standards. In the morning, you can enjoy the sought-after 'Russell Breakfast' in our breakfast room, cooked to order and guaranteed to get your day off to a great start!
Cawthorne House Bed & Breakfast is located within 5 minutes walk of Pickering town centre and the North Yorkshire Moors railway.
Cawthorne house is an ideal base for you to explore the surrounding area & Pickering town centre is just a 10 minute walk.
Known as the 'gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors' Pickering plays host to a bustling market every Monday. The 'Museum of Rural Life' is also worth a visit & why not take a stroll around Pickering Castle, an impressive bailey fortress founded by William Conqueror.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a great day out - 18 miles of preserved steam railway through the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors.
York is only a 30 minute drive away, where you will find York Minster, you could try a walk around the famous 'City Walls' too. On the outskirts of York, you will find one of Britain's finest stately homes - 'Castle Howard', a must to visit while you are in the area.
