Places of Interest On Skye
The area is itself a place of interest and is particularly rich in plant and wildlife. Dolphins, whales, basking sharks, seals and sea otters can be seen together with birds of prey and a wide range of indigenous and visiting birds. Information on salmon, trout and sea fishing is available and in some cases bookings for boats and beats can be made.
The stunning scenery makes it an ideal location for numerous walks and cycle rides and the Cuillin mountain range offers exceptionally good climbing for all levels. Many of the peaks can be accessed by experienced walkers.
At Sconser and Skeabost there are two golf courses open to non members, both of which can be booked in advance.
Skye is a small island and most places can be reached within the hour. Nearby are Neist Point Lighthouse, Dunvegan Castle, MacLeods Tables, Dunvegan Head, Moonan Bay, Piping Museum, Three Chimneys, Skye Silver, the Toy Museum, and several galleries. Information can be provided for all the main attractions, sports and activities on the island.

How to Find Us
Directions for car drivers entering Skye from Kyle of Lochalsh over the recently completed Skye Bridge which is now free of charge.
Regardless of your starting location, you will approach Kyle of Lochalsh on the A87. As you enter Kyle of Lochalsh the Skye Bridge is clearly signposted. Keep on the main road and go straight through the traffic lights in the centre of the town until you reach the bridge. Depending on weather and time you will get spectacular views from the bridge of Lochalsh, the Islands of Scalpay, Eilean Mor and Raasay.
After crossing the bridge you will arrive at a small roundabout. Bear right and head for Broadford still on the A87. This is the main coastal road that leads to Portree. Follow the road for approximately 23 miles going through Broadford, Luib and Sconser until you reach Sligachan.
Cross the bridge at Sligachan and turn left leaving the A87 and joining the A863 which goes inland, crossing from the east coast to the west and passing near the famous Talisker Whisky Distillery. Proceed along the winding road for approximately 23 miles passing Drynoch and going through Bracadale, Struan and Roskhill until reaching the outskirts of Dunvegan.
Approximately one mile from the centre of Dunvegan you will arrive at a white chapel in a small hamlet called Lonmore. At this point leave the A863 and turn left onto a single track road (B884) signposted for Glendale and Skye Silver. After approximately half a mile the road bears sharp right. This is still the B884. Do not go straight on or you will end up on a dirt track leading to Orbost! Follow signs for Skye Silver and The Three Chimneys Restaurant and Niest Point Lighthouse. You will pass through Skinindin, Colbost and Glendale. We are approximately one and a quarter miles from the centre of Glendale. The guesthouse is situated next to the turn off for Neist Point Lighthouse.
