Ard na Breatha Country Guesthouse and Restaurant, offers four diamond AA , Hotel standard accommodation, and is one of the first accommodation providers in Ireland to won the E.U. Flower Award for Eco Tourism.
Ard na Breatha Country Guesthouse and Restaurant is built on Albert and Theresa Morrow's working farm and is surrounded by acres of green fields, yet its just a short walk from Donegal Town Centre.
It is family ran with Theresa working front of house, and Albert Head Chef, our main emphasis is on you our guest, to provide you with utmost comfort and customer care .You will be assured of a warm Irish welcome, in our cosy lounge, complete with open hearth, which has lovely views of the Bluestack Mountains, and the split level dining room is overlooking the market town of Donegal. Our en- suite bedrooms (all with bath) are decorated in traditional country style, with wrought iron beds, wool rugs, traditional pine furniture, all have tea/coffee facilities, TV, direct dial, hairdryer, Alarm Clocks and Internet Access.
Our fully licensed Award Winning Restaurant specializes in modern Irish Cuisine with an emphasis on Local & Organic food where possible and offers an extensive wine list. Ard na Breatha Restaurant is renowned for creating a dining experience, so when you dine with us the table is yours for the entire evening therefore booking is essential.
The Guest rooms, which are situated on the site of an old barn, are linked to the Restaurant by a covered walkway thus ensuring utmost privacy for our Residents.
Rooms are furnished with traditional pine furniture, wrought iron beds, and wool rugs,all are en-suite with bath, telephone, hairdryer, T.V. Tea/Coffee making facilities, Internet access, direct dial,alarm clocks.
Visitors may wake up to the sound of birdsong, and the gentle splashing of water in the courtyard pond outside their bedroom window.
Following a refreshing sleep, one can enjoy our beautiful breakfast buffets. |

County Donegal offers some of the best Golfing in Ireland ranging from Portsalon to Gweedore and on to Murvagh, many of which host Golf Open weekends or Golf Tournaments, all of which you can find in our Festivals and Events section.
In addition the area's County's terrain presents you with breathtaking routes for hill-walking, cycling and horse-riding. The multifarious hues and tints of the Bluestack mountains surround Lough Eske which is two miles North of Donegal Town. This area provides the rambler with hidden delights at every turn. Moving North an ascent up either side of Barnesmore Gap will offer an unparalleled view of the whole of the North-West and looking well into Counties Tyrone and Fermanagh.

Our Location from Donegal Town
Come into Donegal Town Centre, take the Killybegs Road, drive 200 yards and take the first road to right, sign posted for Ard na Breatha and Lough Eske etc. Continue on this road until you come to VIVO shop, turn sharp right, go straight ahead for approx. half a mile, under the bypass, Ard na Breatha is at the top of the hill, three minutes drive from Donegal Town
.

On approaching Donegal Town from either Sligo , Derry, or Letterkenny, you will come to a roundabout at Lidl store, take the killybegs exit from here, at the next roundabout take a left in towards Donegal Town, take the next left (signposted for Ard na Breatha, Lough Eske Etc) continue until you come to a Vivo grocery store on the right, take a right here (our sign is here) continue straight ahead pass the houses, we are situated at the top of the hill, just three minutes drive from Donegal Town.
