Or you could enjoy the delights of a steam locomotive (which in summer) runs the whole length of the line from Pickering to Whitby or a brisk walk or rambling on the stunning Yorkshire Moors if you are looking for panoramic views, why not visit Sutton Bank in the Hambleton Hills.
Not very far away is the famous Wensleydale, in The Yorkshire Dales with its rugged windswept landscape, the well known Creamery at Hawes and a host of rural crafts waiting to be discovered. Aysgarth Falls is a must to see as well as the market towns of Leyburn and Masham. Middleham with its famous Castle and Jewel along with the racing stables of top trainer Mark Johnston.
