Bed and Breakfast Description
Our house is newly built and just 50 yards from the beach with stunning views of the islands of Pladda & Ailsa Craig, the Scottish main land and the southern end of The Mull of Kintyre. Our village lies off the main coast road and has good eating facilities within walking distance. It is renowned for its beaches and seal colony. The décor throughout the house is simplistic and we offer two double rooms – both with king size beds - one room with a generously sized ensuite shower room and the other with an adjacent private bathroom. Both rooms have stunning views as does the private guest lounge. Please note we operate a no smoking policy throughout the house. We aim to provide everything you would expect from a B&B and to do the simple things really well. the bed... King size with crisp, white Egyptian cotton sheets. the room... Contains everything you will need including a tv, the tea tray (with fresh chilled milk), hair dryer and locally produced toiletries. the view... Stunning. the ensuite shower room... Generously sized room with a double shower cubicle and power shower. the private bathroom… Adjacent to the bedroom with a bath and over the bath shower.



Local Attractions
The island produces its own whisky, beer, cheese, mustard, oat cakes and hand made chocolates. You can follow the Isle of Arran Taste Trail and see many of these products being made and test those you like. 7 courses to choose from and you can buy a discounted course pass to play them all including Shiskine – a firm favorite of Peter Allis which is listed in the Top 100 UK Courses. For those of you who are really keen and know your courses Machrihanish is easily accessible from the island in the summer. The island caters for all levels of walkers. The Northern part of the island is spectacular. From seals, sharks and dolphins to red deer and a bird watcher’s paradise Also on offer - Cycling, fishing, climbing, horse riding and a variety of other activities or alternatively just relaxing.

B&B Location

Arran is easily accessible. Caledonian MacBrayne runs an excellent ferry service to the island all year round from Ardrossan to Brodick (55mins) and Kintyre – Claonaig to Lochranza (Summer – 30mins) and Kintyre - Tarbet to Lochranza (Winter - 1hour 25mins).

From England just head towards Carlisle and the over the border into Scotland. From there follow the signs for Kilmarnock, then Ardrossan and then you can take the ferry to Brodick. If you are traveling by car then we would strongly recommend that you book your ferry crossing during peak times e.g. Summer and Glasgow Weekend (last weekend in September).

From the ferry terminal turn left onto the main A841 coast road and follow the clear signs for Kildonan – we are 10 miles south of Brodick.

There are frequent services to Glasgow which in turn has excellent links to the rest of the UK. Where possible the trains and ferries are timed to minimise connection times.

There is a great choice of national and international flights, many at budget prices, flying into Glasgow Prestwick International. The airport has its own railway station to link you to Ardrossan.
