This handsome 18th century stone barn is set in some of the most picturesque of Dorset's countryside, in the delightful hamlet of North Wootton, near Sherborne, towards the western end of the Blackmore Vale.
Set in it's own secluded, landscaped gardens the barn has been extensively modernised to provide limited, high quality accommodation, at affordable prices in excellent surroundings with personal attention.
Stoneleigh Barn is located in the small hamlet of North Wootton roughly two miles south of the mediaeval, historic town of Sherborne, with it's magnificent Abbey, famous schools and two romantic castles.
Originally part of the Digby Estate, Stoneleigh Barn was sold in 1980 along with the smaller, adjoining barn, and converted in 1981 to form a most comfortable house.
Awarded 4 stars and a silver award by Visit Britain for the 4th year running, this beautiful and unusual building is set in landscaped, secluded gardens with a heated outdoor swimming pool. The Barn has been updated by the owners, Kevin and Penelope Smith, to compliment it's 200 year old character whilst retaining it's charm and individuality. Comfort and a touch of luxury await. From a warm welcome and breakfast to die for, to the little extras that make your stay special. Open throughout the year except New Year, the Barn has three large guest suites, two with exposed oak roof trusses and 4 Poster beds, the other on the ground floor with a Kingsized draped bed.
We believe that Stoneleigh Barn is the ideal place for that short break, a romantic weekend or even just a brief stop over when journeying further afield. Come and explore the wonderfully impressive, timeless beauty, of this truly enchanting county. Discover the dramatic, spectacular Jurassic Coastline, stunning beaches, bays and cliffs and let us have the pleasure of welcoming you for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
