Orchard Barn sits on the banks of the River Asker near the delightful market town of Bridport, and offers caring and generous hospitality.

We now have a lovely home built on the site of an old Dorset farm with a river at the bottom of the garden. It is so peaceful just sitting under the apple trees in the old orchard yet the coast is only a few minutes drive away as is the spectacular and unspoilt countryside for which West Dorset is justifiably renowned.

The guest's private wing of the house comprises of three delightful bedrooms with every amenity and a comfortable sitting room with open log fire reflecting, in design, the ancient barn that stood before - french windows give access to the terrace and garden beyond.

Margaret’s cheese dishes abound and her delicious marmalade and jams are served at breakfast - a meal which still remains her ‘tour de force’ - but regret to say that we do not offer an evening meal although snacks can be provided. However, within a very short drive, there is an excellent variety of good food available in both rural and coastal pubs, restaurants and fine cafés such as The Hive on the beach at Burton Bradstock.

Orchard Barn is ideal both as a haven in which to unwind and relax or as a convenient spot at which to break a journey.
