Bed and Breakfast Description

The Vine House dates back to the late 1700s and was extended in 1829 & 1999. We have refurbished Vine House and on the first floor there are two centrally-heated, en-suite (shower/wc) guest rooms, with TV, accessed via the stairs.

Accommodation consists of a double room, with king-sized bed, and a twin-bedded room. On the ground floor there is a large, comfortable guest sitting/dining room with TV & DVD - Please feel free to bring your own DVDs. All rooms are non-smoking.

Famous for its hill-walking, mountain-bike trails, Offa's Dyke Path, Glyndwr's Way, quad-biking, lakes, canoeing and ancient walks, this part of Wales also offers excellent and challenging golf courses, modern leisure centres, bike rentals, horse-riding, hiking, fishing, steam railway, picnicking and hang-gliding ... and the pleasures of touring roads without congestion!

Local Attractions
You will find this appealing eighteenth century house located in the original centre, the conservation area, of this charming and tranquil, rural village of Guilsfield. The village has two fine centuries-old traditional village inns each serving excellent food and beer.

Guilsfield also has a post office, woodland-trust protected woods, iron-age hill fort, shop, tennis courts, nature reserve, playing fields, children's play area and a fine ancient Church - all within easy strolling distance.

There are delightful walks via ancient public footpaths through fresh, green beautiful countryside. For the explorer, the area has so much to offer. There are centuries-old churches, local museums, antique shops, magnificent scenery and historic buildings such as Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Attingham Park (if visiting National Trust sites please check their opening days/hours).

Guilsfield is just two miles from the Offa's Dyke Trail and the market town of Welshpool. It is near historic Chester, closer still to the Tudor/Jacobean town of Shrewsbury.
